Hazeldenes Metcash Expo Promotion – Terms & Conditions
Entry into the Hazeldenes Metcash Expo Promotion (“Promotion”) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in the Promotion and any instructions relating to entry form part of these Terms and Conditions. The Promotion is organised and administered by Hazeldene’s Chicken Farm Pty Ltd (ABN 41 004 288 686) of 74 Hazeldenes Road, Lockwood VIC 3551 (“Hazeldenes”).
1. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who attend the Metcash Expo event (scheduled from 13 July 2025 to 15 July 2025) in their professional capacity as representative of a business or store. Employees of Hazeldenes and associated agencies and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
2. Promotion Period
The Promotion opens at 11:30am on the first day of the event and closes at 4:00pm on the final day (“Promotion Period”). Entries received outside the Promotion Period will not be accepted.
3. How to Enter
To enter, participants must during the Promotion Period:
Visit the Hazeldenes booth at the event;
Scan the QR code displayed at the booth to access the form;
Submit the required contact and business details; and
Answer, in 25 words or less, the question: “What’s the ultimate Aussie chicken recipe and why?”
Only one entry per entrant per day is permitted. Entries must be submitted via the QR code.
4. Game of Skill
The Promotion is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each valid entry will be individually judged based on creativity, originality, and alignment with Hazeldenes brand values.
5. Prizes
At the conclusion of the Promotion Period, one entrant will be selected to receive $1500 worth of store credit redeemable for ‘The Bare Bird’ product (at the winning store or business’s cost price). The product will be delivered by Hazeldenes to the winner’s associated business address.
The prize is not awarded for personal use. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. If the prize (or any part of it) becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Hazeldenes reasonable control, Hazeldenes reserves the right to substitute the prize with one deemed to be of equal or greater value.
6. Judging and Notification
Judging will be conducted by Hazeldenes representatives. One winner will be selected within seven days at the conclusion of the Promotion, and they will be notified via the contact details provided in the entry form.
Hazeldenes takes no responsibility if a winner’s details are incorrect or incomplete and the winner cannot be contacted. Hazeldenes reserves the right to appoint a new winner if a winner cannot be contacted within 24 hours or is otherwise ineligible.
The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the determination.
7. Entry Requirements and Rights
Entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not be unlawful, offensive, defamatory, or infringe the rights of any third party.
By entering, entrants assign all intellectual property rights in their entry to Hazeldenes and grant Hazeldenes the right to use, reproduce, modify, or publish the entry for promotional purposes without further permission or payment.
Hazeldenes may remove or disqualify any entry it deems inappropriate, offensive, or not in the spirit of the Promotion.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hazeldenes is not liable for any loss, damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Promotion or use of any prize, including but not limited to:
Late, lost, or misdirected entries;
Technical malfunctions or failures; or
Any act or omission (including negligence) of any third party involved in delivering the prize.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Privacy
By entering, you consent to Hazeldenes collecting your personal information to administer the Promotion and contact you about Hazeldenes products and services. For details on how your information is handled, refer to our Privacy Policy at https://www.hazeldenes.com.au/privacy.
10. General
Hazeldenes reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or breaches these Terms.
Hazeldenes may cancel or amend the Promotion at any time due to unforeseen circumstances.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
